Hope After Fire – Helping Families Rebuild

In the wake of the devastating California wildfires, countless families have lost everything—homes reduced to ashes, memories erased, and futures left uncertain. While shelters and temporary housing offer immediate relief, these families still need essential household items as they move forward—mattresses, furniture, kitchen supplies, towels, and more.

At the Kimberly Moore Foundation, we refuse to let them face this crisis alone. That’s why we’ve launched Hope After Fire—a mission to help families rebuild with more than just necessities. We are bringing back hope, dignity, and a sense of home.

Since February 1st, we’ve been collecting the heartfelt letters of families devastated by this unimaginable crisis—sharing their stories and urgent needs. Through our Adopt A Letter program, we are answering these letters one by one, helping families as they transition into new homes.

Our Commitment

On January 21st, we set out to partner with organizations dedicated to helping families in need. Today, we are proud to announce our partnership with Pasadena Rosebud Academy, assisting 35 children who lost their school, their homes, and everything they owned in the fire. Now, we invite you to be part of this mission.

How It Works

  • Families write letters sharing their stories and urgent needs.

  • Donors adopt a letter, either individually or with a group.

  • We coordinate the delivery of essential household items to families in need.

How You Can Help

  • Adopt a Family – Choose a letter and fulfill a family's needs.

  • Donate Household Essentials – Contribute furniture, bedding, dishes, and more.

  • Sponsor a Delivery – Help cover transportation costs to get items to families.

Join Us in Restoring Hope

Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. You can contribute at $25, $50, $150, or $300 to help provide essential home items, furniture, and supplies.

For those who want to make a greater impact, the letters will start at $500, creating a charity pool where everyone can join in. You can also donate in $500 increments multiple times until we reach each family's goal.

No family should have to start over alone. Recovery doesn’t end when the flames die down—it’s just the beginning. Together, we can bring hope, healing, and a fresh start to those who have lost everything.📩 Get Involved TodayVisit www.adoptaletter.org or contact us to adopt a family in need.

A Heartwarming visit to the Pasadena Rosebud Academy

As part of our Hope After Fire initiative, we had the privilege of visiting Pasadena Rosebud Academy, where we met with the founder, program director, and some of the incredible students who have been directly affected by the recent wildfires.

This inspiring school has been a pillar of strength for its students, but after the devastating fires, 35 children lost not only their school but also their homes and everything they owned.

Despite these challenges, their resilience and hope were evident in every conversation we had. During our visit, we had the opportunity to:

  • Meet with the dedicated staff who are working tirelessly to support their students during this difficult time.

  • Hear first hand from the children about their experiences and dreams for the future.

  • Discuss how the Kimberly Moore Foundation can provide direct aid to help these students and their families rebuild.

Meeting the amazing staff, seeing the smiles, strength, and determination of these children reminded us why our mission matters. Through Hope After Fire, we are committed to ensuring that these families receive the support they need—not just to recover but to thrive. We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Pasadena Rosebud Academy to help their students and their families rebuild during this imaginable time.
